Cochin: M Swaraj has been appointed as the Resident Editor of the Malayalam daily Deshabhimani. He currently serves as a member of the CPI(M) state secretariat. From 2016 to 2021, Swaraj served as a member of the Legislative Assembly representing Tripunithura.
He is also an orator and author, known for works such as “Cuba Jeevikkunnu,” “Pookalude Pusthakam,” and “Maranam Kaathu Daivangal.” A native of Nilambur in Malappuram, Kerala, Swaraj has held positions such as SFI state secretary, DYFI state president and secretary, and All India joint secretary. He also served as the editor of the DYFI monthly magazine Yuvadhara.
Deshabhimani is a prominent Malayalam daily newspaper in Kerala, India, and is the official newspaper of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in the state. Founded in 1942 during the Indian independence movement, the newspaper has played a significant role in Kerala’s political and social landscape.
